A curated walkthrough with a local culinary historian takes the group through the vibrant spice lanes of Crawford Market and Mohammed Ali Road.
What guests experience:

Live demo on how spices are sun-dried and ground
Interactions with spice sellers on “secret spice blends”
Sampling masalas used in Mughlai, Parsi, and Koli cuisines

Guests are welcomed into a traditional Bohri Muslim household for a thaal-style lunch. Seated together, everyone shares plates, stories, and laughter.

🍳 3:30 PM – Community Cooking Workshop: Recipes of the Heart
Arrive at a rustic rooftop studio with an open kitchen, colorful mats, copper pots, and a sunset view.
Hosted by: A female-led culinary collective preserving forgotten Indian recipes.
Workshop Theme:
“Maa ke haath ka magic” – Making regional comfort food with your hands & heart
Guests cook 2-3 dishes guided by mentors:
Stuffed aloo paratha with mint-chilli chutney
Chhattisgarhi phara (steamed rice dumplings)

Each guest shares their biggest food memory unlocked during the day
Participants are handed a surprise letter titled:
"To the Kitchen Keeper in You” – a handwritten note about legacy, love & food.

“Here, I ate and I remembered.”
